JACKSON
Founding Inspiration Eternal Mascot
January 17, 2014 — December 15, 2025
Before there was Dawg-Tec, there was Jackson. Before there was innovation, there was responsibility. Before there was a product, there was a dog who changed everything.
Jackson wasn’t just a dog. He was a teacher, a partner, a reminder of what real responsibility looks like, and the spark that eventually became Dawg-Tec. Training alongside him shaped our understanding of communication, trust, and how deeply gear choices matter. The Relay Harness exists because of the lessons he helped create. This page is not about loss. It is about gratitude, legacy, and purpose.
The Dog Who Started It All
Jackson had presence. He was stubborn when he wanted to be, loyal every second, strong willed, curious, and endlessly full of heart. He kept life interesting. He challenged us in the right ways. He demanded clarity, consistency, patience, and leadership. In return, he gave trust, partnership, and that unmistakable “I’ve got you” look only a great dog can give. He wasn’t perfect. He was real. And that is what made him unforgettable.
Lessons That Became Principles
From Jackson, we learned: Responsibility comes first Communication must be clear and fair Comfort isn’t optional; it is foundational Tools must support trust, not undermine it Real world testing matters more than theory When you commit to a dog, you do it fullyThese lessons became the blueprint for everything Dawg-Tec builds.
From One Dog’s Journey to a Purpose Driven Innovation
Training Jackson exposed where traditional tools fall short and where dogs deserve better solutions. It reinforced why fear based shortcuts are never the answer and why communication must be humane, consistent, and dependable. That journey led to an idea. That idea led to a patent. That patent became the Relay Harness.
His legacy lives on in everything we build. Every prototype tested. Every dog we design for. Every promise we make as a company. Jackson is at the foundation of all of it.
