Before there were products or patents, there was a simple responsibility: protect the dog first. Comfort, clarity, and humane communication aren’t features to us, they’re the baseline. Every design decision starts with how it feels on the dog and how clearly it communicates with the handler.

We believe training tools should support understanding, not fear. Gear should earn its place through real-world testing, thoughtful engineering, and respect for the animal wearing it. That mindset guides everything we build, from early prototypes to the Relay Harness today.

This philosophy didn’t come from theory.
It came from experience.

Before Dawg-Tec had a name, a mission, or a plan, there was Jackson.

Training alongside him changed the way we thought about communication, responsibility, and what “good” dog gear truly means. Through that experience, we learned exactly where traditional tools fall short and why comfort, clarity, and humane communication must come first.

The Relay Harness exists because of him. Every decision we make, every prototype we test, and every dog we build for is influenced by the lessons Jackson gave us.

Chief Moral Officer

Every great company needs a little comic relief, and at Dawg-Tec, that honor belongs to Colby. Proudly serving as Chief Morale Officer, he represents the joy, energy, and grounded spirit behind the culture we're building.

But Colby also shaped our understanding of why reliable communication tools matter. When he was younger, he loved to roll in the worst-smelling things imaginable, bolt off when curiosity took over, and push boundaries the way many beloved dogs do.

Through responsible e-collar training, we were able to build clearer communication, improve safety, reduce stress, and bring out the best in him.

Colby is living proof that tools, when used correctly and humanely, empower better experiences, stronger trust, and safer freedom for dogs and their families.

He's a reminder of why Dawg-Tec exists: to build better tools, create safer experiences, and make life more enjoyable for dogs and the people who love them.

Christian Delgado

Founder & Visionary, Dawg-Tec

Christian Delgado is the founder and lead innovator behind Dawg-Tec, translating years of hands-on training experience into safer, smarter gear.

After identifying gaps in comfort, consistency, and communication, he created the patented Relay Harness to improve how dogs and handlers work together.

Today, Christian leads product development and long-term strategy, blending real-world insight with modern engineering and technology. Every product is field-tested, refined, and built to earn trust in the field.

Tyler Toomey

Head of Operations, Dawg-Tec

Tyler leads Operations at Dawg-Tec, managing systems, logistics, and production workflows that bring the Relay Harness from concept to reality.

Working closely with Christian, he oversees supplier coordination, prototype testing, fulfillment, and operational execution to ensure every product meets Dawg-Tec standards.

His focus is simple: build scalable systems and deliver gear that works where it matters most.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

At Dawg-Tec, building dog training gear comes with responsibility. The tools we create affect how dogs learn, how handlers communicate, and how trust is built between them.

We don’t believe in shortcuts, fear-based approaches, or gear designed without understanding the dog wearing it. Comfort, clarity, and humane communication guide every decision we make.

Our work is shaped by time in the field, conversation with trainers, real dogs in motion, and honest testing. If a product does not improve communication or protect the dog’s well-being, it does not earn our name.

This responsibility is what drives Dawg-Tec forward. Everything else follows from that.
